Fun Fact: Pixida means “compass” in Greek. It was also the name of the restaurant in Naxos, Greece, where I met my husband and eventually became the chef in the kitchen. I painted Pixida Breakfast for the restaurant entryway, where it greeted guests before they headed upstairs to enjoy breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea.
